About Document Organizer

Document Organizer exists to solve one specific, ordinary problem: knowing where you physically kept an important document, months or years after you filed it away.

It deliberately does not store your documents. There's no scanning, no uploading, no cloud copy of your passport or property papers sitting on someone else's server. Instead, it remembers the one thing that's actually useful and low-risk to record — which room, cabinet, shelf, or folder something is kept in.

Everything you enter stays in your browser's local storage, on your own device. There's no account to create, no server processing your data, and no analytics watching how you use it. If you clear your browser data or switch devices without exporting a backup first, that data is gone — which is the trade-off of a tool that never touches a server.

It's free, and it's built to stay useful without ever asking you to trust it with more than it needs.
